If you’re looking for a fun activity for the whole family this month, look no further than our Balloon Fest located in the beautiful town of Centralia. It’s a three-day event featuring live music, craft vendors, food vendors, and a plethora of other recreational activities. Bring the whole family or come solo, but make sure you have your camera ready for the amazing hot air balloon displays.
$5 gets you an all-access wristband while children under 6 get in free. Check out the rest of the details below for this incredible event.
Schedule of Events
Friday, August 20
Events start at 3pm with the Foundation Park Opening Ceremony, followed by the Hot Air Craft Fair with food and entertainment. 5:30pm is the balloons’ evening flight over Centralia and at 7:00pm the balloons get set up for the Balloon Glow with WJBD Radio from 7:30-9:00pm.
Saturday, August 21
Events start early with a 6:00am flight over Centralia. At 10:00am, the park opens with food vendors, kid’s activities, and the craft fair. From 10:00am to 4:00pm, Fairview Park will have a car and motorcycle show with the rock band Starlifter providing entertainment. There’s plenty of other bands playing today in the Picnic and Craft tents starting at 11:00am. From 5:30pm until 9:00pm, the events are the same as Friday with an evening flight and Balloon Glow.
Sunday, August 22
The events for Sunday are much the same as Saturday, but all events wrap up at 2:00pm.
Fun Activities
The music line-up is stacked with bands from genres like country, rock, folk, and pop. There is dance music for those so inclined and even an Elvis impersonator to croon you through your day. Most exciting are the tethered hot air balloon rides, so be sure to check this one-of-a-kind experience out!
