Autumn weekends in Clinton County can be lovely—a perfect excuse to head out to one of our local wineries for an enjoyable few hours. Below is a look at some of the events scheduled in the months ahead, from simple wine tastings to murder mystery dinners.
Hidden Lake Winery in Aviston offers a wide range of activities, all paired with wine tasting, of course! On Thursdays you can unwind with yoga and then enjoy wine and a snack. Sundays bring brunch and bottomless mimosas. And Fridays through Sundays there’s live music in the afternoons. In addition, the winery has scheduled a series of special events, including a Jazz Festival, cooking class, charity marathon, and a murder mystery dinner theater. And that’s just in October! Music is on tap every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Bretz Wildlife Lodge and Winery in Carlyle. Regional favorites, such as Ben Nation, Next Best Thing, and Double Shot keep locals and visitors stopping by the winery for evenings of sipping and listening. Feel like dinner? Check out the dining room at the Lodge. Another favorite winery event is Bike Night, occurring the last Wednesday of every month.

Stop by the Depot Tasting Room at Roundhouse Wine Company for leisurely afternoons of wine tasting, with a small plate menu to go with the sampling. On Sunday afternoons, there’s live music and pitchers of Sangria. The Tasting Room also host specialty events, including monthly Rose and Manet Paint Parties and Ladies Night Out.
