Sam’s Pizza opened in Breese this spring and already it’s gaining a faithful following. A spinoff of the popular restaurant in Highland, Illinois, the Breese location offers its trademark brick oven pizzas.
The company touts five decades of pizza making experience, and has been making its own unique made-to-order pizzas for 30 years. The Breese setting is a friendly space to relax with a beer (Sam’s Pizza serves a nice selection of beer, including craft brews), but it also offers its menu for carry-out.
Popular choices on the specialties pizza lineup include 5-meat (beef, Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and Canadian bacon); Mac Daddy, which is topped with a secret sauce, beef and burger toppings; and Buffalo Chicken served on a ranch dressing crust with jalapenos. Customers can also build their own pies, starting with a cheese pizza and adding toppings.
In addition to brick oven pizzas, Sam’s offers a selection of appetizers, such as toasted ravioli and breadsticks. There are also six Sam-wiches, including a build-your-own sandwich that has pizza topping and cheese plus any two toppings. Salads, wings and tenders round out the menu.
