Wine, arts, crafts, and music will share the spotlight for the annual Carlyle Wine & Art Festival. This year’s event will be on September 10-11, 2017 at Bretz Wildlife Lodge and Winery in Carlyle, Illinois.
Over the past few years Clinton County has become quite a little hotbed of wine. We now have four wonderful wineries here, with several others in the surrounding area. All seven of them will be taking part in the day’s festivities, offering visitors a chance to sample their various wines. In addition to Bretz (its Shalula wine is pictured here), the list of local wineries participating includes Crooked Creek Winery, Hidden Lake Winery, Twelve Oaks Vineyards, and Roundhouse Winery.
Art is the other headliner of the festival and some of our local artists and crafters will be on display, such as Turkey Creek Art, Origami Owl, Nini’s Beading, and Photography by Jake Kressling.
Live music is also scheduled for each day with performances by Lydia Dall, Honey Vox, and Beaucoup Bottom Band. Knowing how beautiful September weather can be, this should be a delightful weekend to be out and about at a festival!
