There is a lot of creative talent in southern Illinois and here in Clinton County, and it will be on full display at the Carlyle Wine & Art Fest, September 10, 2016. 
The day-long event will held at Bretz Wildlife Lodge & Winery, a lovely country setting two miles from Carlyle Lake. While here, be sure to check out this unique place; it’s designed after the African safari lodges the owners visited on travels.
During the event, visitors will be able to visit with representatives from various wineries, and sample a selection of wines from Bretz, local favorite Hidden Lake Winery & Banquet Center, and five other Illinois wineries.
Along with the wine tasting, there will be a good selection of art and crafts, including jewelry, soaps, fabric and wearable art, stained glass and more. It’s never too early to begin holiday shopping!
To add to the enjoyment, there will also be live entertainment starting at 11:30 and continuing until 8:00 p.m., and food vendors.
